KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the General Manager/ Resort Manager in the overall management of all resort food & beverage outlets including events.
- Create concepts and promotions that will drive engagement and high returns on business.
- Implement what is required to meet government compliances and government policies related to Food & Beverage.
- Manage employee productivity, payroll costs and effectiveness.
- Plan and direct food and beverage service operations across the property to ensure a high-quality dining experience.
- Mentor and coach, the food and beverage leadership team, to fully embrace and deliver the strategic goals.
- Develop operational action plans to achieve company objectives.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership team to develop and launch new menus and dining offerings.
- Monitor daily food and beverage operations, ensuring an active presence in the outlets and solicitation of guest feedback.
- Identify opportunities for improved performance to support company environmental and sustainability targets.
- Monitor reporting of workplace accidents or near-misses in the outlets, ensuring preventative action is implemented.
- Ensure all beverage operations comply with liquor licensing requirements at all times.
- Plan and execute all departmental supervisory and outlet managers succession Planning and development plans.
- Work with Group Manager, Learning & Quality to complete departmental training needs analysis and ensure effective training actions developed and implemented to address skills gaps.
- Any other reasonable task as requested by General Manager/ Resort Manager.
POSITION SPECIFICATION
- Demonstrated experience in a senior food and beverage operational leadership position, preferably in a mid to large size hotel or resort with several food and beverage outlets.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern food and beverage concepts and excellent understanding of customer dining trends and expectations.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial management and revenue generation strategies in food and beverage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with confidence and professionalism.
