The Group Director of Engineering will provide strategic leadership and technical direction for Engineering across the Group’s three properties Plantation Island Resort, Lomani Island Resort & Spa and Fiji Gateway Hotel. The position holder will establish standards, governance frameworks, and performance expectations that ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all facilities, plant, infrastructure, and grounds.
The role will oversee engineering performance, capital planning and approval, project governance, financial discipline, and lifecycle optimization to protect asset value while supporting operational effectiveness and guest satisfaction. Acting as the senior technical authority, the position will strengthen safety and emergency preparedness programs, ensure compliance with national codes and regulations, and drive continuous improvement in cost control, utilities performance, and maintenance standards.
Thorough oversight of Chief Engineers and Engineering Managers, the role will ensure engineering functions operate efficiently, projects are delivered effectively, risks are actively managed, and the Group’s physical assets are maintained to protect guests, team members, stakeholders, and long-term business continuity.
